Winston assists the Consumer Protection Unit with affirmative litigation against predatory lenders and debt collectors. Prior to NYLAG, Winston was a Legal Fellow with the Project on Predatory Student Lending at the Legal Services Center of Harvard Law School, where he represented low-income borrowers experiencing predatory lending in connection with for-profit schools, and the Center for NYC Neighborhoods, where he managed the organization’s Hurricane Sandy recovery program. Winston has interned at several non-profit and government organizations, including Brooklyn Legal Services, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and Covenant House. Winston received his J.D. and M.P.A. from New York University and his B.A. magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Tufts University.
