Michael is one of NYLAG’s New York State Office for New Americans’ (ONA) legal counsels. Pursuant to the ONA grant, he conducts legal screenings at ONA centers and reviews citizenship and DACA applications prepared by center staff. Prior to joining NYLAG, Michael worked as an Asylum Officer for USCIS and as U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand’s Senior Immigration Counsel. Michael has a Juris Doctor from the University of Florida and an M.A. in International Relations from New York University.
