Marisa is a Staff Attorney in the Tenants’ Rights Unit, where she represents low-income tenants facing eviction in housing court and administrative proceedings. Before joining NYLAG, Marisa was an Agency Attorney for the City of New York where she represented the city in child abuse and neglect proceedings. Prior to that, Marisa was a law clerk to the Honorable Patricia B. Roe, J.S.C. in Ocean County Superior Court in New Jersey. Marisa received her J.D. from CUNY School of Law, where she served as the Co-Editor of the Public Interest Practitioners Section of the CUNY Law Review. Marisa received her B.A. in Economics and East Asian Studies from Connecticut College.
