Amy is the Senior Supervising Attorney and Project Director of the Mobile Legal Help Center (“MLHC”), the country’s first-ever legal services office and courtroom on wheels. A joint partnership between NYLAG and the New York State Courts’ Access to Justice Program, the MLHC brings free legal services to New Yorkers in need. She is responsible for forging partnerships with the offices of elected officials, community based organizations and other entities to ensure that the MLHC is reaching those most in need of services. Amy coordinates and supervises NYLAG staff and pro bono attorneys aboard the MLHC and also supervises volunteers on certain MLHC cases selected for representation. Previously, Amy was a senior attorney in NYLAG’s Matrimonial and Family Law, and LegalHealth Units. Prior to joining NYLAG, Amy provided legal services to families affected by terminal illness at The Family Center in New York City. Before moving to New York, she was an associate attorney at the Consumer Law Group in Connecticut. Amy is an active member of the Lawyers Committee Against Domestic Violence and the Children and the Law Committee at the New York City Bar Association. Amy is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law.
