Without a lawyer, justice may be unavailable to a grandmother in need of lifesaving home-care, a student duped into taking out a fraudulent loan, or a family facing eviction. The cost of a lawyer, however, should not put justice out of reach for low-income communities.

That’s why we are embarking on a two-week campaign to raise $10,000 by April 23rd. All money raised will help ensure that adults, children, and families in need have access to a lawyer, regardless of their ability to pay.

A single lawyer can change so many lives. In just three years at NYLAG, attorney Samantha Kubek has won more than one million dollars in veterans’ benefits for her clients and started the first legal clinic for woman veterans in the U.S.

Young children aren’t guaranteed a lawyer in immigration court so attorney Crystal Fleming specializes in ensuring that children seeking asylum have a fighting chance. To date, she has secured legal immigration status for more than 40 young people, so they can focus on just being kids.

Those are just two of our amazing attorneys—we have 187 on staff who helped more than 88,000 people in need last year!

Starting now we need your help to raise $10,000 by April 23rd to help ensure that low-income children and adults have a lawyer when they need it.

Please give a gift of $100 right now. Or give what you can: $75, $50, $35…no amount is too small.
