Legal services on wheels

By Fulvia Vargas

Our state-of-the-art van was custom designed to serve as a fully-functioning mobile law office.

The van is a powerful tool in NYLAG’s mission to deliver services to people in need, right in their community. We partner with trusted community sites like libraries, senior centers, schools, and local elected officials’ offices to bring life-changing legal services into local neighborhoods.

We reach out to communities where additional barriers to seeking services put justice out of reach. For instance, we bring lawyers to people with disabilities that limit their mobility who live far away from law and non-profit offices.

Every year, we serve more than 4,000 people throughout the City and Long Island, giving people in need a fair shot at justice.
