Filling Out This Form Can Extend Your Eviction Protections

Any New Yorker behind on their rent, because of financial or medical hardship due to COVID-19, should submit a Hardship Declaration Form by Feb. 26 to avoid facing eviction or unnecessary court proceedings until at least May 1st. In a city of millions, New York City housing courts have received fewer than 2,300 of these forms. This video explains how the forms work, where to submit the form, and answers other FAQs.
