Help Angel

The front page of the December 21 edition of The New York Times tells the moving story of a client in NYLAG’s LegalHealth unit.  “Angel” needs a new kidney, and his brother is a match.  However, because of Angel’s undocumented immigration status, the government is willing to pay for a lifetime of dialysis, costing $75,000 a year but not for the $100,000 transplant that would make it unnecessary.

In response to the outpouring of readers who want to help his cause, NYLAG has established the Angel Fund.  Donations to the fund will go directly to Angel’s medical care.
